An installation that makes the sound of monoculture visible. A 3D model of RR soy, built with L-systems in TouchDesigner, reacts to a sound archive from the four largest soy plantations in the Americas: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. Speculative sound design imagines these plains before 1996, and archival recordings document what came after. As the post-1996 frequencies reach it, the plant deforms, its particles scatter and it bursts into flames.
